The Central Archive contains a high quantity of selected, rich, updated and pertinent databases, covering several social sciences issues. In particular, Eastern Europe and German speaking countries are covered by surveys and statistical data.

The Central Archive is an institution affiliated to Gesis, an umbrella organisation that brings together 78 independent research institutes. It cooperates with the University of Cologne (Köln)
