Open Courseware Consortium


Launched in the wake of the MIT OpenCourseware Concept success, the Consortium is an on-going project aimed at keeping together over a thousand of academic institution offering high-quality open content teaching material. Great updating rate.


The OpenCourseWare Consortium is a network of more than 100 higher education institutions and associated organizations. It is an umbrella organization inspired by the Open knowledge concepts developed by the MIT. Content is provided by each participating institution


Various layer of information are provided, from basic and "how-to" contents to resource lists and member profiles. Course materials are not published by the Consortium itself, but they can easily be located through a specific link page

Information density

The Consortium website is an entry point to a relevant number of OpenCourseWare initiatives, thus facilitating the access to university-level teaching materials and programs including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and exams

Content Pertinence to Political Science

The OCWC course lists and webpages provide some good material about PS research and studies among other disciplines
