The ANES website provides open and free access to its data and documents, and stimulates people participation in several ways, i.e. asking for suggestions about how to design future surveys and direct people participation in the 2008 election
Access to ANES databank is free of charge for any user, thus helping experts and people in exploring causes and consequences of voting behavior and electoral outcomes
The vast majority of the database information can be freely displayed and/or downloaded. Only some data, identified as being of potential risk to respondent confidentiality, are not publicly released (requiring a special application process)
A fair amount of links are available in most pages, allowing for further exploration and people involvement -- after a 2006 Pilot Study, ANES will allow interested persons to purchase space on the 2008 national face-to-face election survey
